Change happens through movement and movement heals
Brooke Beeckman WAP/PMA-CPT
Brooke offers customized and tailored work outs for her clients through the North Scottsdale area. Premier Pilates offers classical Basil equipment that helps practice way Pilates was designed to strengthen while the Sommet Pilates Studio uses contemporary equipment with an emphasis on rehab and modern sports training.
Starting Pilates at a young age was instrumental in Brooke’s life as an athlete and ingrained the importance of movement principals in every day life. Brooke was originally trained classically by Tiziana Trovati, an instructor directly trained by Romana Kryzanowska who was a central protégé of Joseph Pilates’. Years later the rehabilitation benefits of Pilates helped Brooke recover from double hip surgery incurred by athletic wear and tear. The value of Pilates combined with physical therapy to help recover was psychologically important to be able to move safely while re-building lost muscle.
In Houston TX, Brooke entered Hilary Opheim’s WAPilates teacher-training program, earning her Pilates Method Alliance certification (PMA). WAPilates is a boutique style studio that emphasizes Joseph Pilates’ original teachings and customized detail to create workouts to meet individual client’s goals. In North Scottsdale Brooke continued to receive the top quality training and mentorship from Premier Pilates with Elin Benson and Ton Voogt; expanding her knowledge base of classical and contemporary Pilates.
Today Brooke’s goal is to share her experience with Pilates to create fun sessions that fit each client’s individual goals. Whether that is finding challenge in classical Pilates, the rehabilitation benefits of Pilates, or a invigorating work out, Brooke wants her clients to love Pilates as much as she does.
